About
Betty Ann Gilrain is a New York City-based creative professional with an extensive background in the luxury design space. She began her career as a national assistant editor at Modern Luxury—which only grew her longtime affinity and education of interiors and style. Evolving with the times, Betty Ann pivoted, mastering social media and public relations to expand her horizons and help tell the stories of luxury interior design studios and product brands across the world through content and branding.
She grew up captivated by the creative design process which she was exposed to through the planning, designing and building of each home her family has lived in. She constantly rearranged furniture in her room and regularly drew up interior schemes using paint sample books, cutouts from magazines and fabric swatches from her grandmother’s sewing room. The idea of reinventing the existing continues to inspire her design style and challenge her to think outside-the-box. Her style offers a unique, more approachable and authentic value proposition to her clients today.
The thought of one day residentially designing on her own continued to pull at her heartstrings, which became the reemerging catalyst that propelled her into working under Bennett Leifer Interiors before breaking out on her own. She currently holds a certificate from NY School of Interior Design and has continued her education at Parsons School of Design.
